Jo is based in London but is an avid traveller and loves to visit clients wherever they are in the World. "Style is universal and I am blessed to work in a field which means I can combine two of my passions - helping my clients to look great and travel!".
She is a lecturer in image and colour at the London College of Style and is regularly called upon as an expert by media including The Telegraph, That's TV and radio.
Jo first formed her styling company in 2011 when she became a single parent and had nothing to lose! From the outset Jo wished to spread the word of how colour does come first and how knowing your colours and what suits you naturally, can make an incredible and sometimes life-changing different to your confidence as well as your image. It did for Jo who had a colour analysis not long after her twin girls were born.
'It transformed how I felt about my image, myself and instantly improved my confidence at a time when I felt so low'.
Discovering your perfect colours, no matter what age you are, can help you let go of the past and enjoy being the person you are now.
Jo is now known as the COLOUR EVANGELIST! She has researched colour vibration and the emotional impact of colour has which she brings into her personal consulting and her professional speaking. 'It's time to divorce black and marry colour. Stop blending in and stand out naturally to be the unique person and brand that you are'. She is trying to #BRIGHTENUPBRITAIN and encourage more women to divorce black. "Black isn't slimming, styling is", is one of Jo's favourite sayings.
Previously trained by Virgin Cosmetics and then by First Impressions* Image consultancy Jo has developed her own company and is very excited to be one of the few consultants to offer online colour consultations
"After every single consultation a client will always leave with an increase in their confidence and a positive approach to clothes. It really is a wonderful gift to pass on."
Jo was fascinated by colour from a very early age - spending hours mixing paints to get the exact colour for her subjects skin! This has helped her develop a high colour vision which allows her to see the colours within a colour and can instantly visually determine a clients season and create her own Zing* system of colour. An avid follower of style and fashion Jo devoured fashion magazines from a teenager and with a passion for design and shape and regularly styled friends and family.
Jo obtained her first honours degree in Businesss Management before she spent 7 years as a Police Officer in Avon & Somerset Constabulary. Subsequently she qualified as a primary teacher and worked in primary education for 3 years until her twins were born. Having dreamed of one day owning her own company and after discovering a natural talent for colour analysis she combinined her two life-long passions - of colour and helping others to feel great.
She now lives in London and enjoys a busy life with her children. Jo sings in a band, likes running, skiing, surfing and is planning on a second home in her second favourite place in the World - Santa Barbara, California. She is trained in Reiki healing and supports the DASH charity helping victimes of domestic abuse and Barnardos. She regularly speaks at the LOC Clinic in Harley Street.
Jo recently featured in the Sunday Telegraph - The new teenage wardobe: a survival guide for parents (7th May 2017)
